A client contacted me to sculpt and cast a wearable replica of Daniel Craig’s Day of the Dead skull mask from the James Bond movie, Spectre. I found a great video of the original costume on display at a Christie’s Auction that revealed that the jaw was articulated and moved when the wearer’s mouth was opened.  I sculpted the piece in Monster Clay and split it in two pieces for molding. The skull was cast in Smooth-On Smooth Cast 65D resin, painted and put together in the same way the movie piece was, with elastic strapping in the jaw hinges and wrapping around the back of the head.
